Demand Insights

To dig into Demand Insights Slicer, please select DEMAND INSIGHTS in the top left corner of reporting space. This slicer is created to provide The MediaGrid user a comprehensive view of all buy-side activities.

Use this pre-configured report to:

  • Create, download and schedule detailed financial reporting

  • Explore bidding statistics for each demand deal, seat, package, and DSP

  • Understand which deals are working across the board

  • Find out what is being sent to buyers (DSP avails)

  • See where buyers are bidding (yes bids) and what they are buying (impressions)

Data & Settings

The table is filtered by DEMAND DEALS by default and provides information on such characteristics as:

  • Avails to DSP

  • DSP Yes / No Bids

  • Impressions

  • SSP / DSP Media Cost

  • Average DSP Bid / Winning Bid CPM

  • Viewable Impressions

  • SSP Win Rate

  • SSP / DSP Media eCPM

If you want to create a custom column for the table, you can use the COLUMN MANAGEMENT feature. To open this feature, click the MORE button in the last column of the table. Here you can also select additional metrics you want to see populated in the table and hide ones you don’t need.

Demand Insights has a complete environmental key that can be used system by operators to break their reporting down to: the seat, advertiser landing page, DSP, size, domain, etc.

Export & Scheduling

Once the table is set up to your preference, you can use EXPORT SCHEDULER tool to set up automated report scheduling to be sent to specified emails. Also, you can export data in Excel, Google Sheets or CSV document format.

Note

Trading data collection, cleaning, processing and aggregation take around 4 hours before reports are available in u-Slicer. Please, take this delay into consideration while setting up the automated report scheduling (i.e. you can have full report for the previous day at 4 AM the next day, not in the midnight).

Demand Competition

Similar to how different supply can overlap, supply can also be routed to more than one demand deals. Those demand deals can produce their own positive bid responses and end up competing with each other - winning or losing. There’s a special key to understand this process, OUTGOING DEMAND DEALS, which effectively shows you the other side of the bid stream - what goes to DSPs, downstream as opposed to upstream in INCOMING SUPPLY DEALS. You can see how demand deals overlap and if one ends up winning over another (by adding DEMAND DEAL attribute), their bid values, win rates and everything else.

It’s expected that this report is used by more experienced users who are trying to find answers to complex questions around their deals performance.
