Availability and Competition

To explore Availability & Competition Slicer, please select AVAILABILITY & COMPETITION in the top left corner of the reporting space in u-Slicer. This report is created to provide users a comprehensive view of the supply landscape and overall competition.

Supply avails

This report shows users how many avails are coming through for a specific supply deal. You can understand how much traffic is duplicated between different deals, the number of unique avails and how that supply competes with each other (if you cross the split by Supply Deal attribute).

Description

How many avails are coming through for Supply Deal ABC (pure avails and supply competition for ABC deal)

  1. Select INCOMING SUPPLY DEALS as a key of the first column of the table.

  2. Set filters: apply a filter INCOMING SUPPLY DEALS contains ABC DEAL

  3. Click APPLY to filter the table content

  4. Look at the total avails numbers

How supply deals compete with each other for avails

  1. Select INCOMING SUPPLY DEALS as a key of the first column of the table.

  2. Set filters: apply a filter SUPPLY DEALS contains DEAL 1

  3. Click APPLY to filter the table content

  4. Analyze the results table to see how avails are distributed across all incoming supply deals, as well as their overlap and inventory uniqueness

For example:

  • ‘Deal 1’ = 1K avails

  • ‘Deal 1,Deal 2’ = 500 avails

  • ‘Deal 1,Deal 2,Deal 3’ = 200 avails The above example indicates that 1K incoming avails were unique to Deal 1 and 500 shared between Deals 1 and 2.

    In turn, if someone is bidding on Deal 2 and winning, it will effectively take away avails from Deal 1.
